m/t et street 28x11.5x16

am i on the right track?
I'd say you're on the right track. Be careful with those wheels, a friend of mine had them on a first gen. lightning and had problems with 2 different sets "separating" from the weight. I like the Bogarts alot better, but they are more $$$$. Your avatar looks like you're transferring weight pretty well already.

I'm pretty sure that Weld had corrected the problem when they found out people were putting them on trucks. The actually took the wheels back and gave a full credit toward a set of their billet wheels. I think Weld was calling them "Super Singles" (truck version) for awhile so people would know there were different than the reg. draglites. F-Body Central used to work on a white procharged GMC that sported those rims and it looked killer!

I think they are refering to 3 piece as in the Welds are actually 2 pieces of thin aluminum halves with a solid chunk in the center where the lugs go through. Welds drag wheels are lighter due to being partially hollow. So technically they are 3 piece you could say.

Really, I thought they were 1 piece cast or rotary forged or something. Hmm...

I went to Weld's site again and I don't see a 16x9 version. I looked at the Super Single II's and I still don't see that size.

So what happened to the Draglite XP's?

Just the lightweight drag series (sportsforged series) are hollow like the draglites, prostars and rodlites. I've owned a set of Prostars before. They will even warp on a pothole and such. Weld says they are not for street use.

That's strange, because I see drag cars some down on them real freakin hard after pulling the wheels. I'm surprised they don't bend them then.
