A friend is having trouble getting rid of a nagging harsh 1-2 shift between 1/4 and 1/3 throttle . Any lighter or heavier it shifts fine.
This is after converting the 4l60e to a 4l65e and a transgo kit and better sun shell and such.

He is just about identical to mine in this respect except for builders. He knows I had a full time harsh 1-2 at first and got with me on his.

The 1-2 accumulator has already been confirmed its not reversed.

It's weird how its isolated to this throttle position. It also seems to hold onto 1st a little longer than expected before it shifts at this throttle position.

MAF is clean. Heh!

I find that is you leave the accum set up stock and use the larger feed hole side for the 2nd feed you get a more progressive shift and avoid this.IMO

Thanks, I'll pass it along. Are you saying this is normal to some builds and you method is a work around?

His builder is threatening to get a new valve body because he has been trying all kinds of things.

Actually yes I have experinced it with the TG kit and also helps many people solve it simply by doing that.
Its a work around of sorts
