Has anybody blown up a 2 pc driveshaft?

I've been wondering the same thing and I've never seen one break either. Seen a handful of those flimsy big diameter aluminum ones cumple like an empty beer can though. All the two pieces shafts are steel right? I know on the OBS's they are, pretty heavy gauge steel too.

and Enid is a MESS with that construction. I went to Lowes the other day and holy hell.

Yes, they are steel.Never had a problem with mine and its been up there a few times as well. Well over 120, havent had the gps hooked up to see what is top speed, but it pulls hard well past 120.

I'm wondering because I was afraid to do a third gear dyno pull with my truck. I guess I don't need to worry about the driveshaft.
Tires might be a problem though. I've got 3.23s and 30.5" tires, so a pull to 6000 would mean roughly 170mph wheelspeed...
