Default Has anyone reworked thier stock tc?

I was talking to a shop around here that only deals in rebuilding torque converters and they said they could raise my stall speed on my stock converter. Has anyone tried this and how well did it work? the guy told me it would be about $100 if I bring it in.

I would assume(<-- verb in question ) that if a shop is capable of rebuilding a TC, they're capable of rebuilding a trans. Here's where warranty of workmanship comes into play. I'd ask about warranty. If it kills the trans due to faulty workmanship of the TC, the business should repair the trans as well as fix the TC.

Just my two pennies.

It's more of a factory than a shop. All they do is rebuild converters. I happens to stumble accross it when working. I don't know there name, I only know its located on Hiawatha in MPLS.
