HELP? LQ4/4L80E swap Into 1986 Suburban.
Just finished the install of a LQ4 and 4L80E from a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic into my 1986 Suburban. Got the wiring done the other day and it fires up quick and idles perfect however when I try to put it in gear, any gear besides park or neutral it kills the engine. Not sure if this is a wiring or tuning issue but I dont think its the trans or converter because it came out of a running/driving wrecked truck. Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe the throttle body is closing when you take it out of P/N for some reason. I'm not too familiar with the DBW tuning stuff, but is there any chance the computer is getting an error and closing the throttle body (like a safe mode) when put into gear?

Not sure, I'll have to check that. Also the guy who has hptuner is gone for the next few days so all we had a chance to do was turn off vats to get it running. I'm sure there are more codes that are popping up and stuff I need to turn off still but I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew the fix.
