Default Help me decide!!! 4.11 4.56?!

i know this issue or question has been asked SEVERAL times.. ive searched and looked at different post for the last 2 hours... i cant decide on which gear ratio... here is what i have.

2005 slt crew cab gmc z71, 5.3, 4"intake, coolant by pass, vette servo, hpTuned, 0% torque managment and hours and hours of timing, ve, shift points, and maf tuning... 285/70/17 courser c/ts, magnaflow exhaust.. i'll never go smaller then a 285, its a daily driver, tow a trailer load(5) of 450r's and/or rincons 5 times a year or so.. in the near future possibly before gear change if you guys suggest, pacesetter long tubes with offroad y, a bullet before my magnaflow, and a circle d reworked tb converter w/cooler. like the usual crews its a complete turd from 0-30.. then hauls the mail from a 30 roll. i want better off the line and just all around driveability.. would i be happy with converter only with the crappy 3.42's?!

should i do converter first, then headers, then gears?!

thanks for your time and input,
steve

he says its a z71, i know they made 2wd ones but ill take it that its a 4x4, and there isnt a 4.30 gear for the front axle, i would say 4.10's

My vote is for the 4.10 gears. The 4.56's pinion gear will be smaller & weaker than the 4.10's pinion gear, and he's gonna be running a big tire and a converter, no TM, and he's gonna be towing. Oh, and it's a heavy-*** crew cab.

thanks for the replys! i bought a front diff gt5 4.10 out of a wrecked 02 ext cab for
$400. i thought that was a pretty good deal. im just gonna buy a set of 4.10's for the rear any certain brand? i agree AKlowrider and after reading more and more post i didnt want to risk the weaker 4.56's... im just gonna rock the g80 for now and buy my circle d, now that i can get the gears and converter for what i figured i was gonna have in a local shop regear it! then do a locker or something down the road.

thanks for you time,
steve

Im going 4.56's with a 33" tall tire which should put at about what a stock tire size would act like on 4.10's. Might even go 4.88's
