Default Help a noob lower a Yukon (please!)

Hi everyone, I'm doing some research because I've been debating lowering my 2005 GMC Yukon 2wd. I called up the local 4 wheel parts and, as you probably know, they weren't very knowledgable on the topic.

So I headed to the internet and found you guys. Here is what I want to do, and I hope you guys can give me some good advice here.

I'd like to keep my stock 17" rims and tires and do a mild drop on the truck to improve handling. I'd like to do a 2/4 and maybe even throw in front and rear anti roll bars to make it a little more solid in the turns.

So, what are your recommendations? I'm not looking for anything crazy low or dragging the ground, since I still do some dirt road driving, just something to make the truck handle better.

Look into springs. It has front and rear springs. Check Belltech, DJM or one of the other popular brands to see what they offer.

Get McG's Drop spindles, and Bell-Tech or Ground Force rear coils. The shocks are up to you I like KYB's but Ground force has good shocks that are a bit smoother, but still handle good.

Look at the DJM site about the free-mods like re-locating bump stops and such. The tahoe suites recomend those.

Check with hotchkis, hellwig, or addco for the bars, and djm, belltech, mcgaughys, ground force, and hotchkis for suspension.

05 doesnt have springs up front its torsion keys you can to drop keys and springs out back, then helwig or hotchkis makes sway bars!

i didnt think any of the yukon's/tahoes had front coils, i thought they were all torsion bar fronts, same with the avalanches... my 04 tahoe has torsion bars... and i thought they had front and rear sway bars on them stock too...
