Default help with spindles

hey guys i was really wanting to run a 17x9 inch rim, but i don't think i can because i also want to lower it with a spindle, some spindles say you can run 17's some say you cant. can anyone help me out with this or do i just have to bite the bullet and go with an 18? please help me out with this .

Mcgaughys makes a spindle for 16+ rims

They also make one to fit the 17" rim, to fit the 17" wheel you just need to cut off the excess threads on the lower ball joint bolt.

ok i found the spindles for, but the 16 inch + are for 2wd only they are part #33002, the other ones part 33004 are for 4x4 says it will fit 17 inch rims but will it fit a 17x9 without rubbing?

I just told you ^^ it's just a taller spindle, you will have to trim down the lower ball joint bolt. Grind it flush with the nut.

I have the Belltechs for 4WD and they are for 17" or larger wheels. If I remember correctly, the instructions tell you that you might have to trim the bolt with some 17" wheels. Wasn't an issue for me with 20's.
