usually when a pump goes, isn't it real quiet? I lost a pump....oh about 4 times. (warped flywheel) and each time, you get nothing, no matter where you put the selector, but it is quiet, no ticking noises.
yeh, lots more "work on everything" shops than special build shos like FLT. I am lucky enough to have one right around the corner. Expensive, but around the corner.

I had a guy at AAMCO Transmission (searching for my dshaft vibration and wanted a second opinion and to get it on a lift) tell me that the 4L60E is a badass transmission. :puke: Then he told me that WHEN my (FLT) tranny breaks to come see him and he will build me a badass tranny. I told him to get my truck off of the lift.
