Help! transmission removal problem

x2 on the extensions. When I did mine I had about 3 feet of 3" and 6" extensions along with a deep socket to get the brackets back on. It was a pain but it works.

Maybe I'm the only one that jacks the trans up and uses a ratchet wrench from the top of the motor to get that nut and stud on the top and the one that holds the trans dipstick. Seems easier to me than the long extensions from underneath.

Its not too bad from the bottom. I was able to gide the brackets back on the stud with the extentions and taped the nut into the socket with some electrical tape and when it was done the tape gives (as long as you dont use too much) and your done. Up top is easy too but I didn't feel like getting a ladder out to get into the engine bay.

I used to use a long extension or something to get the bracket onto the stud and duct tape the nut for the bracket to the socket to get the nut started. Now, with the trans shield, it is impossible, so the bracket is just zip-tied to something else before I install the trans. The top bolts are easy to get at with the intake off, but that is a 32 hour R n R with my blower setup.

Done deal! The long extensions and a swivel socket did the trick. It's funny how much faster and easier things went putting it back together after seeing how everything fits. Hopefully I didn't screw up with the shift kit, servo and converter or else I'll be pulling this puppy out again.
