Exclamation Helping out a buddy..Edge converter??

hey, i got a buddy that has a 99 ls1 camaro full bolt on car.. he has an edge 3600 converter it goes 7.70's in the 1/8th it runs good. Saturday night he was doing alittle street racing and his tranny blew the servo out of the side, which then cracked the tranny case... he trailered it home now its sitting... to make a long story short i asked him what is he gonna do. he said order a performa built tranny and do a yank 4400 converter...

i offered him 300 for his edge converter with his free restall he said yes. will this work in my truck? after searching several post im assuming yes. i plan to call andre sometime this coming week.. what stall/flash should i shoot for? i want this thing to get off the line, it barley even break torques the tires.. its sad.

i have a 05 crew cab gmc 5.3 full bult ons, 4"cai, magnaflow, hp tuned (hours of ve, timing, maf, and shiftpoint tuning, and 285/70/17's dont plan to go any smaller .. down fall it has 3.42 gears right now, i do have a front factory 4.10 front diff i plan to put in out of a wrecked truck, and motive 4.10's for the rear in the future.. its a dd, and i dont tow much if anything.. maybe a 450r atv in the bed every now and again.

its a turd 10.80's in the 1/8th. 10.10's in 4lo! from a 30 roll it's a different truck you guys know what im talking about. i was gonna do a circle d but if this will work in my truck im gonna help my buddy out by buying it and benifit me from a decent named converter..

sorry for the long post,
steve

Couldnt tell ya on the converter and you may have already done this but try setting you PE delay to 0 in all fields and the enrichment rate to like 1.3-1.5 this will help you from a dig but the converter will help more if it will fit also get them gears in they will help tremendously

i just reread the OP... its for a 60E not a 80E...
KB had a 80E

If it were me, id give chris a call at Circle D.. you can get one of his 60E stalls for 375? i think.

+1, I had a great experience with my call to CircleD...Chris answered all of my questions and built me a converter that will probably outlast my truck. I haven't driven it yet, but from what I've read here, I'm confident that I'll be more than satisfied Looking forward to the first launch
