Default The HO is gettin an 80

Well I went ahead and said F-it. I am having a built 4L80E swapped in to the HO. The dealership pretty much told me they wouldn't touch my truck with a 10 foot pole so it is time to step up. It sucks that I am going to have to wait on the heads and cam, but with what I am getting hopefully I wont ever have to have another tranny built.

I am also having a 2800 stall put in with the 80. That will hopefully get me down the track a little faster.

This damn truck is going to drive me to drinking!

I would go with a bit higher stall since the 80e sucks up quite a bit more power than the 65e but you wont hav eto worry about breaking it every again

I agree with Blownchevy. I have a 2800 stall and it works great with FI and the 4l80e.

you'll find that the stock converter for a 6.0L and a 80E will stall around 2800 or so with your current setup. if you're going to buy one otherwise, go vigilante.

My stock tq converter would only stall to about 2200. The 2800 went up to 3600 rpm and I let off the gas.

yeah, but you have an STS. with his setup using the radix and 3.0 pulley his will make boost before an STS system could even think was possible.
