If you're really wanting to get serious and not worried about gas mileage then quit ****** around and get a nice th400 and a Neil chance converter and never worry about that part of your game again

hmmm, anyone running a PI 5 disk in a half ton 60E? I know their 3 disk is about $950 shipped. I'm guessing the 5 is around $1150? I called and their only open Mon-Thurs

Danny, I wouldnt be against that either, but I've already got the trans. I'm not overly concerned, but I would like to at least keep OD in this thing. Maybe once this trans is on its way out I'll look towards that kind of swap. It was built in Sept and doesnt have but a handful of miles on it, hopefully it'll hang in there a couple seasons.

chris at circle d told us that he has the capibilities of making a 5 disk, but he hasnt encountered a motor that needs a 5 disk yet.

i locked my truck with a single disk fuddle for 3 or 4 years with no problems. nitrous out of the hole and through the shifts and through the lock.

the nice thing about circle d is they are local and you can go knock on the door if you need to.

Nah no need for a gv. I think a 400, some 3.42s and a 4200+ converter would be badass

Why? I think with the low first gear of a th400 and a 4200 stall you could still 60' awesome and mph like a **** with 3.42s

The use of less gearing will hurt MPH in a big cam setup. Remember you want to be in your peak power band when crossing the traps. 342s wont allow this with any combo and being its a truck its going to hurt him off line. Trucks are heavy they need gearing to get them moving
