Default horsepower loss in the drivetrain

i was wondering what percentage of horsepower is lost in the drivetrain. i know that the fly wheel hp is higher than the rwhp. how much power is lost when the power must go through the transfer case? thanks guys

4wd setup I think is close to 25% loss, ~18% for 2wd but this is only a guestimate.

depends on a bunch of things, manual, 4wd, auto, locked converter, stall size, etc.

my truck lost 18%hp and 22%tq in the drivetrain, 300/360 at the crank, and 247/281 at the wheels. I dynoed it bone stock to get a baseline. That was through a 5spd, part time transfer case, 2 piece driveshaft, 14bolt, 10.5" rear 4.10s and the G80. That diesel is going to have a heavier drivetrain than I have, and if it is an auto that will soak up some more power too. Generally speaking the heavier and more powerful something is from the factory, the heavier and bigger all of its parts are going to be, taking up more power in the drivetrain.
