Default HOT Brakes Help!!!!!!

2001 Tahoe 2wd with 4 wheel disc brakes. The ABS and Brake light both came on. WTF?? Brakes are HOT as hell and feel really touchy. Feels like the brakes are staying engaged at slower speeds. Slow speeds and letting off of the gas at around 15 mph this thing starts stopping very quickly. I just pulled the engine and tranny out of my truck yesterday and now the Tahoe is F-in up.
ANY HELP!!!!

Danny

Could be the master cylinder internal piston not releasing all the way. That would be the cheapest thing to replace.
The next area would be in the ABS main control module. Not too sure what might have failed there.
Just place a scanner on it before you try the hit and miss process of elimination.
I assume the ABS light is staying on all the time and not just when the brakes are applied.

They lights come on together when engine on and driving but when I turn it off the lights turn off too. I ended up taking it to the dealer to see what they come up with. I hope it is still under warranty.
