A 2/4 doesn't NEED to be notched, but it couldn't hurt. I have about 1 1/2" between the shorter snubber and the axle pad. With my firm Bilstiens I still bottom out over big bumps. With a good load of stuff in the back it rides on the bumpstops. Looks cool that much lower, but rides terrible!

Yea thats true. The only problem with that though is if im gonna notch the frame anyhow, i might as well run the 4/7 i was planning to run to begin with. I just thought this way i could have a nice handling suspension and biggest of all, i wouldnt have to notch my frame but if i have to anyways, i might as well go LOW!

You don't have to notch the frame with a 2/4. I won't ever notch mine unless I add 2" shackles to get me down to 6".

The notch is the reason I decided to drop 4/6.. instead, besides the fact that everyone told me if I was going to go lower later it's better just to get it overwith because to go 4/6 after 2/4 you have to put the stock shackles and hangers back on or you will have a 10 inch drop in back with a flip kit..

That is what I hear on Fullsize Chevy.. McGaughy's drop kits are the best for NBS Chevy/GMC trucks. Lower+sways = better handling whether on stock springs or not. When I lower my next mod will prob be sways on mine unless I can afford them at the time of the drop.
