Default How to 2/4 drop with nasty "Chevy lean"?

My '01 Silverado currently has 2" drop shackles in the back and that's it, and I would like to end up with a 2/4 drop. I am going to be running 20" wheels probably with 275/45R20 tires (or maybe something a tad taller). However, my truck right now has some NASTY Chevy lean. The front left is 7/8" lower and the rear left is 2" lower than the right. This is with 3/4 tank of gas, no driver. The lean varies from day to day, but this is probably the worst it ever gets.

To achieve a 2/4 drop, I was thinking 2" drop spindles in the front with a 1" spacer on the left side. Then 2" drop hangers in the rear with the 2" shackles and maybe use some of the adjustment in the shackles and hangers to level out the rear. I'm worried though that the end result won't be a true 2/4 drop, but something less. I would prefer to overdrop than underdrop it. I would also like to avoid notching the frame and tire rubbing.

Anyone had the lean this bad and fixed it with a 2/4 drop? Do share. Thanks!

I put a 2/4 on mine and now the rear is 1/2 of an inch lower, and the front is 1 inch lower. I'm gonna put the spacer in the front and see what that does.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Perhaps drop springs would be better in my case? The stiffer spring might resist the lean a little more than the stock springs? I'm perfectly happy with a ride that's a little stiffer than stock; small price to pay IMO. Seems like springs would be easier to install than spindles/hangars too.

I have tried to ask the dealership but they couldn't find anything. I have read on this fourm before about the part number but haven't had succues trying to dig it up.

The Hotchkis TVS kit got rid of my lean, but they don't make the leafs anymore.

I think I'm going to go with Belltech springs in the front and either 2" hangers or 2" drop leafs plus 2" shackles in the rear. I will probably end up needing a coil spacer in the front left, and might have to raise the left rear 1" using the shackle or clamp the spring. Also going with new drop shocks all around.

If I could do it all over again, I would have went with spindles up front and shackles/hangers in the rear...the Hotchkis sway bars are amazing and I also have, and recommend helper bags for hauling and suspension sag over time. The Hotchkis leafs are stiff as hell and start sagging early

Do all spindles lose turning radius?

You can always start over. This kit is a good way to go. 2" lowering springs in the front, 2" shackles in the rear, and 2" Drop Hangers in the rear. That kit goes for $499 shipped.

@ferocity, i went with beltech 3in drop springs for an ext cab ( mine is reg cab) this net me about a 2.5in front drop, and a stiffer springs, in back used hangars and drop shackles, but on the drivers side rear shackle i adjusted it to accodmiate the "chevy lean." It does not lean much at all now.....
