Default how bad is ride with drop coils and springs?

I'm gunna drop my truck here soon and I think I wunna use drop coils for the front and leaf springs for the rear, prolly gunna buy the hotchkis tvs system, so how bad is the ride quality with that tvs? And what are sum good quality shocks that should make up for the horrible ride?

I like my drop coils in the front... I have hangers and shackles out back so I cant really speak on them. My front end is firmer but not what I would classify as "stiff" definitely a more "sporty" feel than a stock height truck... wheels and tires have a lot to do with the handling too though.

What brand coils do you have in the front?

belltechs... they are a little less expensive. I would anticipate that the Hotchkis springs will ride even better. you have a single cab now right?? the weight of my ext cab has something to do with smoothing out some of it, along with the longer wheelbase.

I have a hotchkis 2/4 and love it but you can feel it tight. Just take the same streets so you get used to where the pot holes are and avoid going in them....lol. I did load about 600lbs in the bed and hit a pothole and it ate the rear driver bump stop, called hotchkis and they sent me a new set free.I'm using doestech shocks.I waited for a sale they had and got the kit for $500 bucks....

Oh you are so wrong!! It rides like ****. Yea it handles but rides like a lumber wagon. If you are looking for a smooth ride whatsoever. DO NOT USE HOTCHKIS SPRINGS!!!!!!!!!!

Any recommendationg on springs then? I would have liked to get the tvs system cuz its pretty cheap to buy it all as once, but if the springs will be that bad then I dunno

what about the chevy lean? i had 2'' shackles on my last truck and it made it lean like a mother******, this is the main reason i do not want to use shackles and hangers, so i figure if i use the drop leafs, it wont make it lean as much, the guys with the tvs, do ya'll have a mean *** lean also?

Sways were the only part of the setup I liked!! Im not the only one that thinks Hotch is rough. Lot of people let the handling cloud how the truck rides....
