Because when you try to do 4l60e's on the cheap you end up spending triple.

Saying, hey go buy a transmission from XYZ corp because they're the best and it's only $5 isn't breaking the rules. But if I said, go get it from xyz.com.org.net/free-transmissions-lulz.html.xml.xxxlivenudegirls.gov, then that would be breaking the rules.
I can't remember since it's been a few days, but I do believe that there was a phone number and address in there or I would have left it alone...either way, if I made a mistake, I'm still sorry. If you re-read what I quoted from the site guidelines, it clearly states, no contact info, and no direct links

Let's keep it on topic from here on out...

Alright I asked him if the trans came with a shift kit and this was his response.

I just finished discussing the shift kits with my builder. The transgo is apparently pretty troublesome so he doesn't want to install it due to problems with them in the past. He does not just up line pressure he actually builds his own using porting tools and accumulator springs with a large variety of shims. Let me know how you want to go about this.
Thanks
Kyle

Is there any truth to this? Does this guy seem like he knows what he is talking about?

Seems like an old school TH350, 400, or 700r4 kind of guy.

I'd stay away. Plenty of other options for tranny builders.

Yeah I found another guy that really seems to know what he's talking about. He is also cheaper, he only wants 725$ for his stage 2 trans and comes with a 1yr warranty.
