1slow I have never driven or ridden in a fuddle. But from what I have read fuddle and yanks dont compare in the way they drive. the yanks are tight and the fuddles are loose?

ive had one in for bout 9-10 months and dont remember either. Hell mines only a 2800 but from watchin a few video's and riding in a cammed 5.3l with a TT3000 its a really loose 2800. And spraying it out of hte hole really loosened it up to right where I like it.

My Fuddle 3K(behind my cammed 5.3) went to a 3600-3700 behind the 418 and crept up to 3900 on a good concrete surface, might have been 4000 or a hair more since the motor revved faster then the tach would go, but I never logged it.
Nightrunner, get one, it is without a doubt one of the best mods I have done. You will be fine with a 3000, Yank makes a nice converter and havent heard too many problems with them.

I have a 2600 PI from FLT. The slower you ease into the throttle, the lower it stalls. If you are creeping off from a stop sign it moves as if stock. You give it, say 30% throttle it will stall to around 2000 and start moving. If you go WOT from a stop it "Flashes" to 2600-2800 and the tires go up in smoke
A 3000 can easily be made a DD as long as your foot can handle the responsibility.

when i had the 5.3 I had a yank TT3K. Great converter. There is a noticable difference from stock, but it is very fun. If you drive in the city, light to light ALL the time, it may get to you. But otherwise, fun fun. I have a Suncoast 2800 (normally a diesel converter builder) and it is wild. Just like 1slowhoe describes though.

You guys are scaring me. I'm putting in a TT3000 and my truck would smoke the tires on the stock converter if I hit the gas too hard. What kind of a monster am I creating?
