Default How Long Till SES Light??? gear swap?

Just wondering about how long it should take ethier miles or just time...for a SES light to pop up after a gear swap?
I bought some 3.73's used i'd say almost two years ago from a member.
Just had them installed this friday and the rpm/speedo seem to be almost the same and i'm not getting any SES lights at all?
I'm almost wondering if i just had a box that said gm 3.73 on the outside but it was really 3.42's again....
Not sure so what you guys think?
3.42-3.73....how long till ses light?

that may not be enough of a jump to trigger it. took all of 5 seconds when i went from 3.73's to 4.56's.

When I swapped from 3.73 to 4.56, I drove around for a few days before I got my tune fixed. The lights wouldn't come on right when I started it up, but after driving maybe about 10 miles the SES and ABS lights would come on. This was every time, it would reset when I turned the truck off.

You could get on the highway and compare your odometer to a mile marker for a quicker answer.

i should clarify that my ses light never came on i think. just the abs light would flash for a few seconds then stay solid.

The mile marker is a good idea. I drove it about 20miles yesterday but it killed a few times on me. So that would cause a reset i guess and not get me a true 10miles solid or more.
I would say.... well can you feel a differance as a easy referance.
But, i have not drove the truck for over a month and did a head swap,3200 stall and the gears all at once lol. So hard to say if the gears were correct or not haha.

Why would you go from a 3.42 to a 3.73? Wouldn't you see more gain from a set of 4.11s?
