Thumbs up

That would be McGaughy's not McGaughties.

Mike McGaughy's Suspension Parts

Check them out. I just put a 3/5 on my 1500HD. I used keys up front and hangers and shackles on the rear. It can be adjusted for a 3'", 4" or 5" drop on the back. Only problem right now is the rear axle hits the bump stop once in a while. I still have 8 3/4" clearance under the frame and 6" under the skid plates. I have the spindles but will not put them on till I get larger wheels because they cannot be used with less than 17" rims for my truck. Nice parts.

ok. I wont go with the belltech kit. I was originally thinking djm but if you guys say that the McGaughy kit is good, im interested in that one also. What is the best way to do it? spindles? control arms? I want my kit to be done the best it can be done with the best ride and all. I am willing to spend the money cause i want it perfect the first time. If 4/6 is no problem, i might get the 5/7 i was thinking about just so i know it will be slammed. i dunno yet. I have heard alot of good info from you guys so far but i am still undecided. DJM or McGaughy? 4/6 or 5/7? What drop shocks? Decisions decisions..... lol!

I have a McGaughy's 2/4 kit that consists of spindles, shackles and hangers. The ride is real smooth and feels just like stock. I didn't need a carrier bearing kit or drop shocks, which was one of the reasons I went with them. If you go with a McGaughy's 4/6 kit, you more than likely get spindles and coils. I can't comment on their flip kit since I don't have one.

If you are looking for the best ride, I suggest the djm kit as it uses the stock springs so the ride will stay close to the same. The djm kit uses control arms for the full 4" front drop. The McGaughy kit uses 2" spindles and 2" springs. Personally, 4/6 is the lowest I would go on a daily driver. I let someone with more shock experience chime in on the better shocks.
