I don't know about all that. I wonder if it says the part number on the reciepts that you got. I'll check mine this evening. Anyways, one thing to note. When I got my Int. Steering Shaft replaced at 20K miles, the tech who replaced it also went ahead and replaced my upper shaft along with the int shaft. On the ticket quoted replaced Upper shaft due to excessive wear. Excessive wear? This was at only 20K miles. So I'd say that you might want to have them look at this also. It sure couldn't hurt thats for damn sure. I haven't had any problems and I'm at about 34K miles now.

I seen a stronger replacement in a magazine not too long ago. Didn't pay much attention on who makes it though because I haven't had this problem. Well yet that is.

Wow, that says a lot if someone else makes a stronger one....do you happen to remember what magazine that was or who made the part? I am sure I am not the only one to be interested. You are sure lucky to have not had the problem (yet...as you so put it).

Thanks!!!

The one I seen was in a mag at wal-mart a few months back. Not really sure wish I would have payed more attention. It was specifically for gm vehicles though.
