Default how much can they handle?

how much abuse can a stock 00 gmc tranny and transfer case take before grenading? whats a safe power limit for them?

Transfer case is strong. Toss a coin with the tranny. Some don't even hold up to stock power if driven hard.

i will only use the transfer case if i have to. im more worried about the trans going. wonder how much a rebuild to handle 500 hp would be?

and i think i watched a vid of yours on you tube it was showing the entire build. very nice.

Like KY said it's a gamble with the stocker. I've had very good sucess with my FLT

FLT?

and im pretty easy on it now. never been abused. it see's daily work loads and has 195,xxx miles on it. maybe i should go ahead and get it rebuilt.
