it pulls hard everywhere except from a 70ish highway punch. With the taller gears it drops to second whereas with the 4.10s it goes to 3rd. But I like the 4.10s way better than 3.42s. It's a lot better getting on the highway and stuff where the 3.42s used to bog down around 1100 rpms @ 45-50 mph.

I had basically the same stuff as you, 4.8L rcsb, all the mods... went from 3.42s to 4.10s and was highly dissapointed with the results...

I know for a fact you told me and brendan that truck had a 6.0 in it, but everytime you mention it here, you say its a 4.8, whats up with that?

anyways, I went from 3.42s to 4.11s in my truck and I did feel a difference, but it wasn't as dramatic as many people claim. I know it was an important mod to do based on the mods I have done since then, but if I planned on keeping a stock stall and a few bolt ons, I would rather have the 3.42s

damn I've told you this story twice Scott... stock it was a 4.8L... from the factory it was a 4.8L... it came with a 4.8L... can that be any clearer? The gear swap was done years before the motor swap pwas...
