How much hp for how long?
Well i fryed my tranny saterday night, I want to know if you guys think a 60e will take the power im gunna throw at it or if i should look into an 80e swap. Now i have seen many 11 and even a few 10 sec trucks running on 60es so i know they can take it but how long do they take it?? Iv pulled and worked on this one 5 times already and im getting a little tired of having to worrie about it, i want it to be reliable for a lomg time. My engine makes maybe 500hp and i plan on running a 150 shot on it yet. what do you think?

As many times as i pulled a 4L60E out i just got tired of them.. Put in a Stock 4L80E and never had a hickup since.
If it were me, i would have put a 80E in it after the first time you pulled the 60E out
Its an easy swap also.

I’m always afraid any day may be the last day and one shouldn’t have to live with that fear, but the same could be said with any other component when pushing things. However my FLT Level V has held up to some pretty decent abuse since it was installed in ’06 and has operated flawlessly ever since. If you have the coin and it will put your mind to rest, it may be better to do an 80E, but if your on a budget as you suggested, it may be better just to have your 60E built.
