Just curious as to how much strong the 4l80e is vs a 4l65e also since im in a denali if I was to upgrade to a 4l80e would my awd transfer case bolt up, and even if it did then it will be the new weak link correct?

The TC will bolt right up once you swap the input shaft on the TC. Will also need new front/rear driveshaft. and the cooler lines need to be modified.

sounds like a bit of hassle and pricey to upgrade especially if it is stock. i would think it would be best since stock to just buy a good cooler like a tru 40k to reduce tranny temps (main kiler of trannys) and get a tune where you will not only improve the engine performance but can have your tranny shift points and shifts firmed up so the tranny wont seem slugglish. that should help out alot and be sufficient. good luck, rob.

Mods like corvette servos and a shift kit help improve the shifts and reduce the friction correct? If I'm shooting for 550-600 hp my 65 with a little upgrades would be sufficient correct? I would much rather keep the 65 and beef it up rather than tryin a swap.

I didnt have any luck out of a 60/65. I went thru quite a bunch. And most power i ever made was 440rwhp/540rwtq. The stock 80e with a HD2 has lasted longer than all my built 60s put together. I always suggest an 80e, you just cant go wrong.

your thirst for power will grow faster than you can drain your bank account. use the money wisely and do the 80e swap...especially with the weight of a yukon denali.
