Default how to tell if my truck has a locking diff.?

where on the truck can I locate a code that tells me what kind of rearend I have

I just bought a 08' sliverado 1LT ext cab 2wd

look in your glovebox & you'll find a label that has a bunch of 3 digit codes. they're in alphabetical order. Work your way down & over until you see G80. Once you see the G80 code, go ahead & start saving your money for a truetrac. You'll need it one day.

yep found the G80 code in the glove box and found the original window sticker and it says 3.42's and a locker

Im a fan of the one tire in the grass, one on payment method. Then tap the gas and see if the grass tire is the only one spinning.

I had a freak of a G80 it stays locked 90% of the time every now and then turning to the right it would unlock n of course do the ONE TIRE FIRE but it was rare n I always wanted two tire fire 100% of the time so I hit up Ron Machine best prices can't b beat and got 4.11's n tru trac
