Default How would you achieve a 4/6 drop?

I just purchased a 2003 rcsb sierra and I'm looking to do a 4/6 drop. Additionally, this truck will be a DD and I would like it to handle well, but not to be so stiff that it isnt fun to drive. Obviously the rear is going to be a flip kit with a notch, but I didn't know if one manufacturer was better than another.

For the front, there are more options between drop spindles and drop coils, so I was wondering what your input would be to achieving 4" drop up front (with handling in mind).

Also, recommendations on shocks would be appreciated too. Thanks for all of the help. I'm hoping to get the parts ordered soon so I can install them when i get some time off for christmas!!

2 inch spindles and 2 inch coils would achieve 4 in front and I believe a flip kit and notch in rear will achieve 6. I run street performance shocks on my 2/5 on my dodge and have around 25k on them and holding up

Definitely do coils and spindles in front.

I like McGaughys stuff personally. Just dont run a DJM notch. I dont really like the adjustable DJM flip kits that much either.

TIM Z: Sorry, its 2wd

1989k1500: What don't you like about the DJM C-Notches? And do have a specific manufacturer in mind that you like better for flip kits/c-notches?

Is there a specific spindle that is nicer than the others? I'm jw if there are any common problems/issues with any of the drop spindles.

Ive got a 3x4 drop on my 06 4x4 crewcab and wanna go lower. I was thinking about doing the 2 inch coils and rear flip kit. Is it gonna be a problem with it being 4x4?? Cause as of now and 100k miles its been just fine. No shimmys or any other issues.

What ever you do, DO NOT use coil and control arms together. Wont work. Im in the process of choosing either a spindle/spring drop or 4 inch control arm drop now.

The DJM notch is really Janky. The Belltech one wraps the frame the best. Mcgaughys ones are not bad.

The problem is in the fact you don't have coils. You can use spindles, control arms or torsion keys. Or some combination of the 3.
