Default Hub Wheel Assembly?

The other day wifeys front wheel was making this rattle sound. like something was tumbling around in the passenger side front wheel area. it did it for about 20 minutes or so and stopped . now the driver side is doing it too. i explained it to this guy i know at the dealer service i go to. he said that it could be the hub wheel assembly. but i find it hard to believe. her truck is an 01 with just over 77000 miles on it. he said that he has heard of them going out as early as 10000 miles. which seems far fetched to me. i have had numerous cars before . i have never had an issue like this at so early on in the life of the vehicle. anybody have any ideas as to what this could be?

Could be. My current truck has about 125k on the originals and they are still going strong but my previous 00 Sierra lost its hubs and differential bearings at 43k with just normal driving. My Bravada drops front hubs every 50k like clockwork POS!

Not too hard for the average guy.

easy if you have ANY mechanical knowledge, just unbolts after you get the wheel/tire and brakes off on a 2wd. a 4x4 is just a little more complicated but still just unbolts

I just got mine from ebay for $100 each. It seems to be a common problem.
