Default Hughes Converters

What do you guys think about the Hughes TC's. I can get a pretty hot deal from a friend on one, but I haven't heard much on the board about the overall quality of them. THe only thing i've heard is that they tend to be a bit loose compared to the advertised stall. The one I can get is the 2500rpm stall, which should work out good for my 99 ECSB Z-71 especially when I throw in my new cam. I'm hoping if they run loose I might be closer to 2800, I just dont want to be too high as I do occasional towing with the truck come race season.
