Do you have the part list that goes with the diagram, like what the numbered parts are?

UPS is going to drop off the booster today and I'll be doing the swap this weekend.

For hoses, I went a different route. Instead of using factory hoses (can't since I'm running f-body accessories), I got some fittings that convert the GM metric 18X1.5 to 6AN and metric 16X1.5 to 6AN. I got mine from Parker since they are local however you can get them from lots of places. I like to convert my stuff to standard AN fittings since I can then use "off the shelf" fittings, have hoses made, etc.

I plan to convert the low pressure port to AN as well (instead of a push on hose) but I won't know that thread till the booster shows up and I can take it to Parker. I'll update with that thread as well once I have it.

I ran across this today while I was looking for a wrench to fit the hydroboost nut.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/hydro...Q5fCarQ5fParts

The listing says 5/16-24 thread for the low pressure port. I'll confirm this when I go to ParkerStore tomorrow.

The wrench from Kent-Moore is listed as a "J 29192 socket" but runs $150 which is more than I paid for my booster and master. I sent an email to FactoryFive since it seems after reading on the kit cobra boards, they sell a fabricated tool for ~$40.

I made a tool to fit mine (but didn't end up needing it).

You should be able to undo it with a large adjustable wrench, or clamp the nut in a bench vice and turn the whole unit.
Mine wasn't extremely tight (actually I was surprised....thought it would have been alot tighter).
Last option....knock one of the bolts out of the plate, undo the nut with large adjustable wrench...tap bolt back in.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Just ordered one

http://www.tallonhydraulics.com/stor...093m8cnri7a445

Hydro boost installation tool used to tighten the mounting nut on a hydro boost brake unit.

This item was designed be used one time to install a hydro boost unit to aluminum mounting plate.

Made from heavy wall dome tubing these can be heat treated if you wish to use multiple times.

Requires a strap wrench or pipe wrench

THI 8900 - Installation Tool
$35.00

If someone has a stock (vac) booster around, could you please measure the bolt pattern? I THINK it's 3.4" X 3.4" but I have not had a chance to check yet.

mines an 06 and has the drum rear and as far as i know the 2500's all came with, and still are coming with rear discs so what about the master cylinder? i thought that the master cylinder was different between disc rear/drum rear? so can i use the regular hydroboost master cylinder that was made for rear discs on my drums? and what about the proportioning valve?

I just did a hydroboost conversion recently...took all of 3 hours. I was being lazy and decided to try it with the stock master cylinder so that I wouldn't have to find someone to help bleed the brakes. Works just fine. Looks like the only difference is the reservoir on the master. now mine is not really level, kinda slightly angles down, but no problem yet keeping it full. Maybe later, I will change the master, but for now it sits on the bench next to the 4l80.

hmmmmm.... i wonder what the point of changing the master cylinder is then? i would love to just re use mine, no bleeding and it would save money on the conversion also. is there any difference between the two? if i could just reuse mine i wouldnt be worried about the drum/disc difference. mine isnt the slanted one either its the big level one, i dont see it sitting any different with the hydrabooster behind it than that big *** vacuum booster...

i just looked it up on kragen's website i entered for a 2500hd and for a 1500 and got the same part numbers for them, so no need to change the master cylinder!
for the 1500 there are 2 p/n's listed they are
