Auto>manual. Manual guys just like having an excuse for losing races.

That's all I hear around here from the car guys with the mustang GTs and camaros and hondas alike...oh, I missed a gear, or I ran out of gear

I wouldn't mind building a blown RCSB with a T56, that would be a hell of a ride. But honestly in an all out drag race, the autos typically do the dragging...

yeah, if my truck was a dedicated track vehicle - correction: drag vehicle, i'd go with an automatic. hit it & forget it - it'll shift very quickly exactly when it's supposed to every time.

that said, i've had my truck for going on 5 years & had it at the strip once. i just prefer the interaction & involvement of driving a manual transmission. i've been doing it since i was 11 & the 1 automatic i owned (before i even cared about performance stuff) bored me to death & it's what made me swear i'd never buy another automatic

Manual FTW for daily driving/towing/4x4ing...

But on the drag strip... Auto is more consistant!

^^ yep
and, like i said, i don't care so much about the drag strip

...but even then, my corvette's a manual, too, and that's the only way i'd buy it
then again, the FRCs never had the option
