so after messing with the rear end i came to the conclusion that i dont have to tools to do it.... so i bring it in..... need a ring pinion and seals and bearings... i have the carrier.. i get the bill $910 what the hell is that.... my math serves me right thats about $700 install charge..... or am i missing something

no thats whats weird... i know and trust this shop.... i have brought alot of stuff thier..... how much would it cost for a ring..pinion...seals... bearings.... the recipt just says 910 for the whole thing....

 

did they lube you up first or just stick it right in?

alot of places around here charge 600 for install with everything including oem gears.
maybe they were magical bearings!

 

yeah they use royal purple first at least they lubed first

 

this is what the recpt said..

Customer supplied carrier
rebuild rear diff with new bearding and seals
new ring and pinion
set all clearances
fill with lube

$910 after taxes

damn dude i thought 350 was bad...yea...you got screwed!!!

 

so do you think i should talk to the shop about it.... or just take the fact that i got fucked and take it with a grain of salt and move on
