350 is what i charge to do any rear or front end work and i give customers as good of a deal as i get on parts. I can rebuild a whole rear axles and all for that price

well im going to call around and get quotes from a few shops... see what they say... then go and ask them for a breakdown of prices of parts and labor....

well just called around.... seems like the average was $400 for install..... thats new ring, pinion,bearings,seals, lube, and me bringing in my own carrier..... so now im going to take a trip up to that shop and raise some hell..... wish me luck

a new G80 isn't worth it at all, put a posi in there, or some other slip and lock

if you're taking your axle to a shop for an install, it's always cheeper than taking the whole truck to them. Did they replace the axles or something. There's gotta be something that they left out to be charging that much.

yeah like i would put a G80 in my truck..... i brought in my tru-trac.... i got some quots from other shops for a full rebuild and wanted to subtract that from the price to see what i shoulda been charged.>>

well guys plain and simple i got fucked..... live and learn... just when you can put trust in someone they nail your ***.... yeah i got quotes and all that... brought it in and he said "well i find that hard to believe" then walked away.... i called him a dick and left... thats fine... little did he know just how much of the drive train I'm getting ready to blow apart.... i was always Leary of working on trans and rears... but its better to learn then get screwed..... just stick my money in tools so that way i at least have something to show for my money
