look in the glove box and check the rpo codes. G80 will be there if you it. Iy you are gonna spend the money on gears go at least 3.90-4.10 or your spendin money for nothin. 4.10 with 30inchers IMO. Any reputable manufacturer makes gears. shop around.

My 04 came with 3.42's and the g80. I swapped out to Richmond 3.90's in the stock rear, but will eventually go to an Eaton. I really like my 3.90's and am running 275-60-17's (about 30" diameter) They pull good, plus I didn't lose too much gas mileage.

Since I installed my transgo shift kit, servo, and converter, I can't keep the wheels from spinning from a launch. The 3.90's are a good choice in my opinion.

Mine came with 3.42s and I installed the 4.10s and locker a few months ago. Acceleration down low is crazy fast but at about 70 its not too great. I have a lot of low end now and not too much high end. Also if you do a lot of highway driving you might want to get something lower like 3.90 or 3.73 because the RPMs are much higher at highway speeds so the gas mileage will go down a little.

Is there another locking stock rear-end other than the G80? Man I hope not cuz I always figured that's what I got when I got the locking rear-end option.
