Default I hit rev limiter on WOT shifts

I have a Rock-on transmission that's about 8 months old. I don't drive it too hard and I've only raced a few times. I got new gears installed a few months ago, but never got retuned for them. Now I seem to hit the rev limiter at the top of second and sometimes third (only during WOT). My fluid is clean and red and doesn't ever smell burnt. I have a big trans cooler also. Do you guys think I'm having this problem due to not being tuned for the gears? Or do you think the transmission needs repair? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

If you lower the gearing, you raise the RPM compared to your old gears. If the shift is programmed to occur at he same mph, then your revs will be higher than before and thus hit the rev limiter. I would look into a retune and either raise the rev limiter or lower the shift points. I can't think repeatedly hitting the rev limiter is good for the vehicle.
