Stalled up to about 2000 RPM on the launch
1.92 60'
13.57 @ 99 mph

6.0, Radix, 3.0" pulley, 216/224-551/551-115 cam, 4L80E, water only, 3000 stall converter
Stalled up to 1500 RPM or so (higher would give me knock)
2.05 60'
13.66 @ 104 mph

Anyway, as you guys said, racing on the freeway is kickass with the 80E, it's nice to be able to drop to 2nd at 85mph
I have experienced very similar results going from my 5.3 at 8.5 psi to a 6.0 at 5.5 psi. Dont have the time slips at work, but I will look at them.

My MPH is great, 108.5mph. The ET is just not there though. 13.21 was the best i could get yesterday. I would think that mph be good for mid to at least higher 12's.

There are 3 of us with radix/4l80e combos and we all trap high mph with relatively high ET's. I think it is the first gear, it has to be. lol

Ok, I talked with Synergy and our basic plan would be this:

#1 Swap my GTP heads for stock 6.0 heads to drop compression. Maybe around 9.3:1 or so.

#2 Pulley down on the Radix for about 10psi.

#3 Add the transbrake and Synergy All-in-one 2-step/nitrous controller.

#4 Replace AS&M headers for smog legal shorties and redo my current exhaust system to allow the replacement of cats for smog purposes. I don't think you can run cats with a 2-step so just need em for smog.

The idea would be to allow me to launch hard off the line to help overcome the 1st gear problem but still have great MPH capability and freeway fun. I also have to smog next year so I want to prep it now so it doesnt sneak up on me. Plus it would be fun to freak people out when they see a big 4x4 launching off a 2-step and T-brake.

As for durrability. The F-body guys are doing fine with a 12bolt or 9". Since we use 4wd I think the strain may be less since we are splitting the impact between the front and rear no? What do you think the possible weak links would be? The other option is to keep it out of 4wd and just launch on slicks which I have.

Sounds to me like the t-case would take the brunt of the shock then, I wonder how big if a deal that would be?

Im not sure. Seems Parish is doing fine with 1000+rwhp on his HD case. I realize the shock is more of a factor than gradual HP build up though. Maybe I'll find out. lol

IMO it will be fine. I have given my t-case hell with the nitrous and stroker, offroading etc and its still fine. I plan on putting a t-brake on 80e when I get aorund to the conversion. How does a 2 step ona radix setup help you. I know on a turbo the excess fuel spools the turbo better but what do gain with it on a sc app?

Near complete disassembly is necessary.

FYI, Kilgore does alot of the custom one-off gearsets for a certain large oem.
Its the same part # for both the 400 and 4l80 from most aftermarket companies. I'm not sure if the General still sales hard parts for the th400. I'm sure someone will know.
