i havent made it out there to "talk" to him yet but i have called him from 3 different phones and have about 6 people other than myself calling him periodically throughout the day....and night. he has yet to answer any calls or return any calls. that SOB must not have planned this out very well, if you are going to screw someone on craigslist dont tell them your address and have them go to your house. if i go back out there im going to take one of those transmission skeletons out of his yard and chunk it through the window of his house.

at this point i dont care if i have a 100% bone stock 60e in my truck as long as it doesnt slip and all gears are functional. an 80e would be nice but i really cant afford it at the moment and cant have my truck down for any more than maybe a day at a time

soooo, i guess i'm going to attempt to build my own transmission.

if i buy the rebuilt kit below a corvette second gear servo and a transgo hd2 shift kit, what else would i need? i would like a hardened or billet output shaft but i cant afford it right now.

http://www.oregonperformancetransmis...y_Code=4L60ERB

or maybe i'll just limp around with this transmission until i can buy all of the parts i want. idk, this sucks

Damn.. that sucks. I feel your pain.

I read your post about the vacuum line and the firmer shift, that happened to me and it caught me off guard.

I have to ask cuz im going need to address my trans soon.

Is a performabuilt or FLT top level 4L65E going to hold up to a cammed 6.0 that is going to be getting a front mount turbo?

Or should i get the 4L80E ?

Just want an easy trans out/ trans back in if possible. Getting tired of making stuff work.

Tim, who knows if it will work or not. There are really too many factors to make an accurate assumption about that. It either will or won't, there isn't much to debate on that. You have a better chance of having the trans last longer with the 80e, but people break those trannys as well, so don't think you've got a 100% bulletproof tranny if you do decide to go 80e. You will have to take care when driving with both trannys with that kind of power, especially if you drive it on the street. Everyday driving seems to be harder on them than track only stuff, just because of all the miles you'll be putting on it.

80e eventhough it will make you slower. I think 01thunder lost 1 second at the track going from a 60e to 80e on his radix 6.0. It's worth it IMO if it means you have a vehicle to get to and from work/school/whatever everyday
