If someone did lose 1 second from the swap that is a very rare occurance. IMO there were other factors involved if he lost one whole second. Most I usually hear about is maybe .2 of a second. When I went to an 80e I sure as heck didn't lose all that much.

Turbo 6.0 + 4l60e = dead 4l60. 4l80 is the way to go. My truck is on jack stands waiting for a 4l80 after the turbo killed the level 5 4l65e

It was spinning in park? Sounds like you broke the ring gear among other parts.

You have a better chance of having the trans last longer with the 80e, but people break those trannys as well, so don't think you've got a 100% bulletproof tranny if you do decide to go 80e. You will have to take care when driving with both trannys with that kind of power, especially if you drive it on the street. Everyday driving seems to be harder on them than track only stuff, just because of all the miles you'll be putting on it.
It either will or won't? You must be great w/. true/ false questions.
You've a 50/50 chance you'll get it right.

Is a performabuilt or FLT top level 4L65E going to hold up to a cammed 6.0 that is going to be getting a front mount turbo?

Or should i get the 4L80E ?

Just want an easy trans out/ trans back in if possible. Getting tired of making stuff work.
I have a friend that has broken 3 4l65e performabuilt trans in his ecsb 6.0 with a front mount turbo

And I had a friend with a 408 and 200 shot in an ECSB and his locally built 60e was awesome...

Its like valvesprings, No matter what brand, Dual springs or not, they all can/do break. Same with transmissions, No matter if you go built 60e, 65e, 70e, 80e they all break, some with only 300rwhp and others with 700+rwhp...

Its the luck of the draw.. just hope you get a good one.

Good luck with getting your trans fixed man.
