Default I think G80 is finally toast

Today I raced my friend with a colorado, we was just jackin around. Everythings ok after we are done. I get to the votech and I hear this weird clanking and grinding sound. I just blew if off till after class. Well while on the way to the exhaust shop I am tryin to figure out where the sound could be comin from. It was makin the sound at all differnt speeds, goin straight, turning, smooth road or rough, but its only off and on sound. My only guess is the G80. Tommorrow im goin to pull the cover and see whats goin on. What do you guys think a fair price is for the unit to be replaced? Or how hard is it to replace one? I may try to replace it myself.

I think it's just one of the bearings in your diff that went out. I's still consider an Eaton or an Auburn.
