I think I am going to have a trans nightmare soon...
So I was just cruisin on the highway ther other day at 70, kicked down into 3rd to pass some ppl, and everything was cool, was well on my way to passing them so i let my foot out before the tranny wanted to shift on into 4th. well i took my foot off the gas and instead of shifting back down into 4th the rpms dropped some but i could tell the tranny was still in 3rd. tapped the gas a bit and then it went into 4th. CRAP! it doesnt do this every time, as a matter of fact its not noticeable if i just keep my foot on the trottle and let the trans shift when it wants... but if i try to let off the throttle sometimes it does this "sticking" in 3rd gear business. the truck only has 40k on it... 33" tires, i do drive mountains alot goin back and forth to home over the continental divide... what should i check? should i just start saving for a FLT? i have a tune and im gettin Dusty to set all my trans setting back to stock. i was running 60% tq management daily.

I've noticed mine do what you're describing in my (former) '02 Yukon, and in my p-up. The PCM still commands 3rd for a few seconds (almost like its waiting for a transition) before it's satisfied with TPS%vsPressure. Then, it'll command 4th & TCC apply/lock (at least on my setup... some have TCC locking in 3rd, right before the 3-4 shift).
You may not have anything to worry about, but scan to be sure. Piece of mind calms the worries.
