They are programmed to do that until the engine reaches a set temp. It will shift into od,it just does'nt lock the tq converter.

I brought this up because when I got my tune and got shift times shortened/tq management taken down some I didn't get the same lag in the shift that the truck had stock. Now it feels like its back and worse. Its not that I am not used to the chevy shift, I have spent plenty of time behind the wheel of my dads old 2002 avalanche, my moms 2005 crewcab and my dads 2006 crewcab. This just felt worse than normal. Where can I get a scantool from? Lol. I have a predator programmer that gives me basic engine realtime data but nothin about the trans. Anybody got one in Colorado?
