I think i have made up my mind one tires, going with the 18" rims and nittos
after doing the suspension limiters and being able to cut prety decent 60' times on the stock tires even on the cold streets it has me thinking. i probably dont want a ton more traction, not right now at least. just cuting some consistant 1.60's or better would make me happy for awhile, maybe all of next season.
i want a rim/tire combo that isn't too short, that i can just leave on the truck all the time, doesn't stick out past the wheel well.
15's just wont fit. i can't leave slicks on all the time. the tallest 16" drag radial is 26" tall other than the m&h DR that is 28" tall but as far is a know they are not selling them yet and they are still prety short.
seems to me the best bet is the nittos. http://www.nittotire.com/popup_555r_sizes.asp the 305/45/18" size is 28.78" tall, the tallest tire i can find.
pair that with some cheaper 18x10 centerline wheels and drop the truck a little more and i think i will have a prety decent combo, wont exactly be a sleeper anymore but it wont screem drag truck either.
what do you think of these wheels? $210 each for 18x10.
or these for $139 each in the 18x9.5".
they have a few others in the discount section.
soo, lets say i can pull 1.70's on my stock tires, what might 4 of those nittos do for me? i have never had anything against a little bling or some cool rims, just never wanted to spend money on something that didn't make it faster. a little bling might be cool for a change.

The 2nd set of wheels is a little more understated IMO, and probably the set I would go for.
It will be interesting to see what a foot of rubber at each corner will give you traction-wise, and ultimately 60-ft. time-wise.

I like the first set. I had allot of people recommend 18" nittos drag radios for my truck but being that its a 8 lug 18" wheels for my truck weight allot. I have 325/60r18 on 18X9 as dress shoes but they weight 91lbs per.
