as i wait for a tow...
I am wondering what could've went wrong. I have an email to the builder but I'm wondering what everyone else thinks. It's a 2002 Yukon with a 4l60e. Cruising down the road I got off the gas, hit some rumble strips cause I crossed the center line for an old lady getting her mail, and rolled back on the throttle going maybe 50 and nothing was there. Almost like in neutral. No loud bangs or really any noise. Any ideas? No reverse or forward gears. Car rolls when in any gear and not when in park. Nothing abnormal leading up to this. Fluid is still pink. Is there some sort of linkage that could've came apart? Torque converter? Pump? Just hoping its something quick and easy since its a daily driver and not looking forward to a month plus of down time if I have to ship it home for a rebuild.

Fluid still smells ok?
Easiest way too tell if its the pump is to pull one of the cooler lines off the radiator. Crank it and if no fluid comes out, busted pump.
Only other thing i can think of is its low on fluid?

The fluid looks good. It reads full on the stick and still looks pink when I blotted it on a towel. Smell wise I'm not sure...didn't sniff it. I'm guessing if clutches or other things burnt up it would be....not pink. Looks like i'll get to wrench on it this Friday so i'll be dropping the pan and probably pulling it out. Never had anything fail without some sort of bang. My father in law said maybe poor electrical connection but I would guess it would still run in some sort of limp mode even if the wires were disconnected. Seems hydraulic that's why I was thinking pump or converter. I was thinking of popping a line but what if its just low pressure, but still enough to squirt out? I honestly forgot when I put this in but its been close to 2 years I would guess.

thanks for the link. i'm not sure how attached she is as shes talking of getting an xl for more room. sucks a little with a family of five. an xl with the second row captains chairs would be nice as we have 3 in booster/car seats yet. if we moved up i think we would get a denali and be done with it.
