Default The infamous 4L60E

Good friend of mine finally blew his trans. Im honestly surprised it lasted this long. Being in a 08 extended cab 5.3L, headers and 150 shot with 20s. Was driving sane taking off from a light It shifted from first to second and exploded. Made a loud bang several times lugged the engine and started coasting. Lost all gears and started leaking fluid.

I think it may have broke an input shaft, but im no transmission expert. Anyways gonna yank it out and have it rebuilt.

Rev the engine to 6000 RPM in Neutral and then proceed to shift it into Drive without letting off of the throttle. This should fix the problem.

I see that you are located in DFW. Might want to give Gil a call to discuss some of your options. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ecking-486602/
