Default I've got converter confusion!!

I want to replace my stock converter but am getting different info everywhere I look. Have done searches here but varying oppinions.
Fuddle recommends -HP truck 3200
PI vigilante -10 1/2" multidisk 2600-2800
Yank-TRT 3000
TCI- think I better stay away from.
Anyone have a truck similar to mine with some recomendations.
Mine is a daily driver but want to go to our 1/8 mi strip once in a while.

I would personally stay away from the Fuddle and TCI converters, I prefer YANK myself and have had HUGE success with their converters in the past. Putting a YANK SY3500 in my truck as soon as it gets here. Btw, my truck is similar to your's in just about every way.

Guess I'm mainly interested in reliability ,How bad will it hurt gas mileage and how much harder will it launch.

I also run a Yank SC2800 but the PI's are great converters too. You'll lose a couple mpg around town but nothing once locked up.

gas mileage is all dependant on how yo drive. the converter will hurt it immensely if you have a heavy foot. more so than driving it hard with a stock converter anyways.
