I have 05 Tahoe and I plan on installing a 2/3 drop (Joe Gibbs). I need to know what's the widest tire I can use up front without rubbing on a 22" wheel. I would like to use 305 40 22s but I was told it may rub.

joejoe (member here) just put 305/40/22 on his truck lowered 2/3 and a tahoe sits higher than a truck.

what is the width and backspacing of the rims you plan on using?

There is a member here who was doing the same drop you want on his Tahoe and he is running a 22's with a 35 series tire and that's plenty of clearance. Im guessing a 40 series should barely,and I mean slightly rub. I am even thinking there shouldnt be any rub but not 100% sure but with the correct offset it should be okay

Its 9.5" width...I'm not sure of the backspacing.
