lol thanks, but when it goes/if it goes a tru-trac is going in. I had an Eaton LSD in my last truck but im going tru next time

trucks got 76xxx miles on it, it'll hold up. Spring/summer i'll swap out, it was just just funny hearing it click and snap all the time The G80 wasn't to bad in my other trucks but this is alot bigger/heavier than they were

last winter my G80 was locking up on turns for some reason. Rear end would bounce up and down. No clue why it did that. Something to do with cold weather? It's fine now. I don't abuse it.

There are some G80's out there that are 'tight' and some that are less so. With mine you can hear the tires scrape in a locked U- turn on pavement, but I'm pleased as punch as it got me out of almost 2ft of snow yesterday with my chin spoiler doing plow duty.......................

Yeah, my rear is clunking loudly these days. sometimes when im starting on a little ice or snow i'll be letting the clutch out and nothing happens, then all the sudden bang, and the other tire hooks up and it drives, im expecting the bang to end in a lot of grinding real soon.

Agreed, head it off at the pass and upgrade it now, if it detonates, the damage will be far worse......

There are 2 reasons why that would happen. The first is simple and I feel this is what was happening with your G80. The clutches develop a gray film on them over time which cause that low speed shudder while turning. Pulling the diff cover and hosing a few cans of brake cleaner though the clutches usually does the trick. The second reason usually leads to the death of a G80 and the need for an upgrade/replacement......damaged spider gear. If some of the teeth are broken off the spider gear, you will have the same symptoms. This is what happened with my truck, when I pulled the diff cover to hose the clutches out, I found around 12 teeth off the spider gear laying on the magnet. Before it had a chance to self destruct, I upgraded to a TrueTrac, ARP Studs, and TA Girdle.
