Default just wondering

when truck is cold it wont shift into overdrive, happend last winter with my previous performabuilt transmission with my stock converter modified to 2500, since then i got another performabuilt and a circle d converter and does the same this winter, i start the truck for like 3 to 5 minutes and have to drive like 5 miles till it warms up a bit then it shifts into overdrive, when its a warm day then theres no problem

just checking if that right??

thank you
Ruben

It should shift into overdrive at any temperature. But what youre noticing is probably the converter not locking. And that's normal. Won't lock until the trans reaches a certain temperature.
